Mit allen brutalen und menschenverachtenden Mitteln versucht derzeit das diktatorische Regime im Iran, die Proteste in der Islamischen Republik nach dem gewaltsamen Tod der Studentin Mahsa Amini zu unterdrücken. Instagram, WhatsApp, zum Teil Mobilfunkprovider werden lahmgelegt. So weit, so schlimm.
Trotzdem rauscht gerade ein Protestsong aus dem Iran unaufhaltsam durch das freie Internet. Es ist das Lied des iranisches Sängers Shervin Hajipour «baray-e azadii» («Für die Freiheit»), der dafür verhaftet wurde und jetzt gegen Kaution wieder freigelassen wurde. Das Video haben wir hier bei der Deutschen Welle erstmals gesehen. Das Lied wurde gerade auch für einen Grammy vorgeschlagen, berichtet der Deutschlandfunk.

Die iranisch-amerikanische Singer-Songwriterin Rana Mansour hat das Lied ins Englische übersetzt und inhaltlich auf ihre eigene Lebenssituation adaptiert und einen bewegenden Song zur Unterstützung der Protestbewegung im Iran eingespielt. Den Text haben wir bei ihr auf Youtube kopiert und unter das Video gestellt. Die deutsche Fassung von Shervin Hajipours Lied liegt uns leider nicht vor.

Wie mutig müssen die Männer und Frauen im Iran sein, die dort gegen das Regime protestieren, wissend, dass eine Festnahme ihr Todesurteil bedeuten kann.
